This functionality includes an electronic interface to interpret CAN BUS information provided by heavy vehicles equipped with the FMS system. Information is translated, stored, and sent to the remote servers where the VIZION® platform is installed through the GPS equipment.

When VIZION® is integrated into the vehicle computer using the CAN BUS interface, the fleet can be monitored and controlled telemetrically and computerized information on the units can be accessed directly to get accurate data on fuel consumption, RPM, kilometers traveled, etc. for the purpose of optimizing the use of two elements that exert great impact on the operating costs of fleets -fuel and tires.

CAN information is often used for the following purposes:

  • Minimization of errors in data collection (kilometers, consumption, etc.).
  • Triggering of alerts for preventive maintenance.
  • Triggering of alerts for excessive consumption, torque, RPM, etc.
  • Efficient use of brake pads.
  • Control of certain variables out of standard ranges.
  • Creation of fracture/maintenance statistics..
