VIZION® offers different functionalities to interact dynamically with vehicle drivers using Garmin navigation devices to send relevant information on the trip in real time. VIZION® integration with Garmin covers two ways of communication with vehicles from a remote monitoring station.

Sending of Messages

Text messages can be sent to the vehicle driver, who can read them on the screen of the Garmin device. Response messages can also be transmitted from the Garmin device to the station where the VIZION® platform is installed.

Management of Stops

Information on stops (positions) can be sent to the vehicle driver. This information is received by the AVL equipment and informed to the driver through the Garmin device screen.

Road Map

Using the road map, files containing the address of the places to be visited can be imported. Once they are imported, the addresses are displayed in the VIZION® platform as if they were stops created from the system. The following activities can be performed using information on stops:

  • Definition of visit priorities.
  • Submission of lists including stops and priorities set to drivers.
  • Correction of addresses imported wrongly from files.
  • Record of new stops rearranging visit priorities defined previously.
